Description
Whiteside’s Multi-Side Bits (sometimes known as Birdsmouth bits) are used for joining multi side projects. The bit makes a angled notch on each board to be joined into a barrel, planter or column. Depending on setup, you can create either flush or ribbed construction.Ribbed construction if recommended for 12 or 16 sided projects to insure that the joint is strong enough.
All joints are cut on the router table. Six- and eight-sided objects are cut with the exterior face up. Twelve- and sixteen-sided objects are cut with the exterior face down.
Choose your bit by the number of sides your project will have.Six-sided and twelve-sided projects are made with the same bit.
