Tormek Diamond Wheel

Tormek’s Diamond Wheels are designed for use on Tormek’s Water Cooled Sharpening Systems. Like the Original Grindstone wheel for the Tormek machines, these diamond wheels will stay perfectly cool during your grinding & honing operations due to the low rpm machine speed and immersive water bath.

The benefits diamond wheels give users is that they are exceptionally durable and will always retain their full size diameter. This proves useful when regularly sharpening the same tool as it simplifies both the set up and the sharpening process.The constant wheel diameter also optimizes using the side of the wheel for some grinding operations.This side sharpening results in a completely flat surface grind on the tool’s edge, compared to the slight hollow grind from the wheel’s circumference.

We recommend theTormek MB-100 Multi-Basefor side grinding on the Diamond Wheels. It allows the individual Tormek tool jigs to be fully supported and in control when grinding on the wheel’s side.

Size & Grit

Tormek Diamond Wheels come in three grits.

• Coarse (360 grit for fast grinding and shaping)
• Fine (600 grit for general sharpening of steel carbide & ceramic)
• Extra Fine (1200 grit for extra fine sharpening, especially kitchen knives and carving tools)

Diamond wheels come in two sizes to fit all Tormek machines.

• 250mm (10″) wheels fit Tormek sharpener models T-8, T-7, 2006, 2004 & 2000.
• 200mm (8″) wheels fit Tormek sharpener models T-4 & T-3.
