Arbortech Power Chisel
Arbortech’s Power Chisel is ideal for large scale, heavy duty carving and chiseling. Driven by a remarkably smooth-running camshaft, it converts a grinder motor’s high speed rotation into equally high speed reciprocating action, easily driving even the largest gouges through hard wood. With limited chisel movement – 1mm (~5/128″) – and high speed (11,000 strokes per minute), the cut is surprisingly smooth so you have great control.
As with other power carvers, the blade doesn’t move until pressed against the work. The Power Carver includes seven chisels that snap in easily and without tools – press a button and they come out just as easily. Blades have 2-1/2″ working length.
