• Wiring (for Alarm/Security Systems): Connect the red wire of the sensor to the designated positive input terminal of your alarm system or dialer. Connect the white wire to the corresponding negative (ground) terminal. Refer to your alarm system’s manual for specific wiring instructions.
• Wiring (for Arduino/Raspberry Pi – Analog Input): Connect the red wire to a positive voltage source (e.g., 5V on Arduino). Connect the white wire to an analog input pin on your microcontroller. It’s often recommended to use a pull-down resistor (around 5MΩ) between the analog input pin and ground to establish a defined low state when no water is present. Monitor the analog voltage reading to detect changes indicating water.
