Description
Benchcrafted Hi Vise Hardware
The Benchcrafted Hi-Vise is a valuable addition to any workbench. It’s a smaller version of theBenchcrafted Leg Visethat mounts on top of your existing bench. It raises your workpiece so it’s closer to eye level – great for detail work.It also allows clamping of awkwardly shaped workpieces that couldn’t be held in a standard bench vise. It can clamp workpieces up to 5-1/2″ thick and up to 5-3/8″ tall.

Configurations
The Hi Vise comes in two basic configurations – standard and with the mounting screw.
The standard Hi Vise can mount to your bench in two ways, depending on how you construct it. The simplest contruction uses a batten on the back of the vise.It mounts to your benchtop using either bar clamps or holdfasts. If you have a workbench with aBenchcrafted Tail Vise, you can also make the Hi-Vise with a cleat designed to be clamped in the tail vise. Instructions for both configurations can bedownloaded here.
The Hi Vise with Mounting Screw mounts to your workbench (or any other table) without any other tools.
