Unlike many other quick-change router chucks, this one doesn’t rely on a cam, so it won’t damage the router bit shank, and there’s no risk of loosening over time. Chuck adds approximately 1/2″ to the length of your router spindle, which makes more cutting length available when the router is mounted in a table.
