Description
The D Series Single Tower Desiccant Air Dryer is expertly designed for point-of-use and intermittent flow applications, ensuring superior moisture removal and air filtration. The wet compressed air enters through the inlet, where an off-set inlet creates centrifugal separation to trap water droplets. The air then passes through a polypropylene coalescer element, felt pads, and stainless-steel grids, effectively removing solid particulates. As the air flows upward, it moves through a sewed filtration desiccant bag that acts like a sponge, absorbing moisture efficiently. Finally, the air undergoes a second stage of filtration to eliminate any desiccant dust, resulting in clean, dry air. This advanced 3-stage system offers efficient separation, filtration, and drying. Replacement of the cartridge is quick and mess-free, indicated by the Moisture Gauge, and made easy by the US stainless-steel clamp. The rust-free, powder-coated aluminum housing is made in Canada and includes built-in brackets for convenient installation.

FAQ
- How long does the cartridge last?
Typically, we recommend changing the cartridge at least once or twice a year (or every 2,000 hours) for point-of-use applications with intermittent flow. - When do I know when to change the cartridge?
Use our moisture indicator HGT-1/4 and replace the cartridge when the relative humidity exceeds 80%. - Can I regenerate the desiccant?
For optimal performance, we recommend replacing the desiccant with a fresh cartridge. However, you may dry the desiccant by emptying the bag and heating the activated alumina in an oven at 275°F for approximately 4 hours. Let the desiccant cool before refilling the bag and use a commercial stapler to close the bag. - How can I extend the life of the cartridge?
We recommend draining the tower daily by opening the ball valve or using our automatic timer drain TD-1/4. When there are bulk liquids in the compressed air, installing a water separator FSD Series upstream of the dryer will help prevent cartridge flooding. - Can I oversize my air dryer?
Yes, oversizing the air dryer will increase the time between maintenance intervals.
